Description
100% of profits will be donated to Gaza humanitarian aid.
The Thoub is the traditional Palestinian dress. It is a symbol of our connection to our land and history. More importantly, a thoub tells a story. The story of this Thoub is a journey through various regions of Palestine uniting us all through the love of our land and our yearning for the home we dearly miss.
The upper sleeve border (Nafnoof) comes from the beautiful area of Hebron known for its colourful ceramics and art.
The stars in the sleeve are inspired from Beyt Dajan, a small village in Nablus.
The chest panel represents an amulet design from Bethlehem.
The middle panel is the beautiful Lilly Blossom and my favourite motif from Gaza.
The side panels are borders inspired by the vibrant city of Ramallah.
The bottom trim is represents the wall of Jerusalem that brings the whole Thoub together and guards all of Palestine.
I originally designed this pattern to be filled with black but I experimented with keeping the background white. You can creative with your approach and colour choices.
