This freekah pattern connects the people of Palestine to the land. The freekah that inspired this pattern is an heirloom variety of the plant that’s indigenous to the land of Palestine. It has been preserved and passed down through generations of Palestinian farmers to resist the occupation and it’s takeover of the land.

This pattern was created by @craftherapydesigns, inspired by a photo from @thobnah, with the members of the Tatreez Grove to amplify and draw attention to the starvation of the people of Gaza.
