Flotilla Solidarity Quilt: A Global Stitch in Solidarity with Gaza

What This Is

This is a collaborative tatreez quilt project open to the global community.
Each participant will embroider one block, representing one flotilla boat by name, which will later be stitched together into a collective quilt.

There are currently 50+ boats in the flotilla, meaning 50+ unique pieces will make up the quilt.

What You’ll Receive

After purchasing your spot, you’ll get:

• An email with the tatreez motif + stitching instructions for your assigned boat.

• Block size and fabric guidelines so all pieces fit together beautifully.

• The mailing address + timeline to send your finished square.

• Optional: the opportunity to add a personal dedication or message on the back of your block.

Suggested Contribution: $20 USD

Your contribution goes directly toward:

• Supporting mutual aid efforts for Gaza

• Covering coordination, quilt assembly, and materials

• Shipping and documentation of this collective work

→ No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
If cost is a barrier, just message the organizers — we want everyone who wants to stitch to be part of this.

Timeline

• Sign-ups open: May 15, 2026

• Stitching period: ~4–6 weeks after sign-up

• Quilt assembly: August 15, 2025

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition has risked everything to bring aid and solidarity to Gaza.
By stitching their names into this quilt, we honor their courage and join our voices to a global call for justice.

This project is open to tatreez stitchers of all levels, from beginners to experienced embroiderers. Every hand matters.
