Project Watermelons for Palestine. My approach to putting my feeling of helplessness to use and taking this as an opportunity to teach my daughter not only about her country, it’s history, her heritage, her culture but also to teach her about charity.

I talked to her about the situation in Palestine and showed her (safe and non gruesome images) of what’s happened and how our people are currently living. Her response was “can we send them bandaids?”the innocence.. I explained to her that we could definitely find a way to raise money to help them so we came up with this♥️

Mini watermelon bracelets handmade by my 6 year old Palestinian princess. One size fits most. Bracelets are adjustable by sliding knot. She has priced them at $5 each (the extra cents are to cover fees and not take away from the donation amount). 100% of proceeds go to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Heal Palestine 🍉♥️🇵🇸

Fun fact: the word “resistance” on our bracelet cards was written in her very own handwriting! Also, our little watermelon logo and stickers came from a watercolor painting she made herself!♥️ check out our instagram to see the process!
